In June 2013, I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and told that I would need to begin taking Metformin and Insulin. I immediately went back to my home office and began researching alternative options. I found nothing that gave me hope of leading a life without Metformin and Insulin. But I am a stubborn individual not willing to accept the status quo.
